This weekend, we took some friends antique shopping around town and I found this gorgeous vintage quilt top. Although I've seen and appreciated many vintage quilts, this is the first that I had to have!
I love how modern this simple pattern looks with just two fabrics: a butter yellow and a navy pinstripe.
With Quilt Market later this week and some other travel plans coming up, I'm not in any rush to get this project started. But, I'll add it to the "someday" list. I might even try some hand quilting.
Have you ever finished a vintage quilt top? Any ideas on how you would quilt this one?

ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing quilt top! I think it would be perfect for the baby!
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful! I love vintage and sewing, although I've never quilted. I'm still obsessed with costumes and reproducing vintage. I just posted a blog about my fave Halloween costumes I've sewn for my kids :) http://wp.me/p3czXo-ve
