Friday Finish: Brackets Quilt

As promised, I updated the Brackets Quilt tutorial with some new photos of the finished quilt. Here are some others!

Brackets Quilt

I'm really happy with the colors and fabrics I chose for this quilt, many of which are Art Gallery Fabrics. They are so soft and have a completely silky feel.

Brackets Quilt

I took a few days off from sewing this week, between finishing the quilt top and deciding how to quilt it. Once again, I tried to channel my inner Angela Walters and use this quilt to practice quilting different designs within the negative space. I'm pretty happy with how it came out, though I will make the quilting on the teal stripes tighter next time!

Brackets Quilt Back

For the back, I chose a solid pink Kona, which really shows off the pebble quilting and diamonds to echo the bracket blocks. Thanks to my Indy Modern Quilt Guild for the quilting suggestions!

Brackets Quilt

This quilt it listed in my shop.

I'm planning to do some destash there soon, and I'll also be back Monday with the giveaway winner of my flat-rate box of scraps, so go over and enter if you haven't already. Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Love how you did the quilting! I've just finished an Indie quilt tonight, and I can't believe how soft it feels even with all the starch on it!
