You might remember this recent finish. Since we brought some friends with us that night, I got the pleasure of surprising Sally and Joe, who I made the quilt for!

Success! This little quilt will be headed to its new nursery next week. :)

So many stunning quilts on a line!

Here's a nice daytime pic from Gretchen. There were lots and lots of quilts!

I had to snap a picture of Gretchen's whimsical appliqued quilt. I am really drawn to the organic gumdrop shapes and orange/purple color combo.

And here's another 2012 finish, my Glass Half Full quilt.

Thanks so much to the IMQG ladies (Katie, Heather, Rachael + more) who organized and set up this fab show!

The quilts look beautiful. I intended to catch the bus downtown to check this out and then looked at the clock and it was 9PM. :(

ReplyDeleteHow did I miss seeing you on Friday??? I am so glad it went well.
ReplyDeleteHi Lindsay, I just recently discovered your blog (I think I saw a comment Suzy made about one of your quilts on Facebook). You are so talented! I am new to sewing and right now working on my very first quilt (for the "quilts for kids" program). I absolutely love the glass half full quilt. Anyway, just wanted to leave a note and say hi. I felt like a weird stalker reading your blog without commenting since I regularly see you in person. :-)

What an awesome idea and beautiful quilts! I love that it's a way of infusing quilting into the community instead of just holding an all out (expensive) quilt show. Thanks so much for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts! they really inspire
