I love, love, love the way these business cards came out. Thanks to my girls for working it with the button makers! I've been working glue duty, mostly, and am looking forward to "carding" some more finished earrings on Thursday night during Project Runway.
Have also been researching Meylah (does anyone use this?) for a possible storefront. From what I gather, it is free to list your items unless you want to add them to the public marketplace (i.e., free to set up a store as long as you do your own promotion). I have a Big Cartel shop, but that only allows you to list 5 items in the free store, and Etsy of course charges a per item fee as well as a percentage of the sale.
Sewing Studio, Take Two
This weekend I reorganized my sewing space in a major way. It's a breath of fresh air! I'm waiting to get better photos of the space, but this is the most organized my fabric has ever looked, so I had to snap a photo.
I also listed some fabrics for swap on Flickr, so pop over if you are into that sort of thing. I'm new to the fabric swap game, so I may see how this goes, or destash on Etsy.
I did a little sewing this week, but no photos to show. I am working on of a quilt for the billboard quiltalong, but no finished blocks to show yet, so I'll keep you in suspense.
Craft Book Month + Giveaway
I had a really great Q and A with Allison this week, an editor for Interweave Books. She talks about tips for pitching a book proposal, which I was personally very interested to learn! We're also giving away a copy of this sewing book, so head on over by Friday for a chance to win.
