Remember when I told you I was having cards published in some of my favorite paper crafting magazines? Just got this in the mail today! The June/July Cricut Magazine, with my Father's Day design in it!
Introducing... the "Dad" Tie Card. Materials are: tie, colored and kraft cardstock, adhesive, and twine.
Although my dad doesn't wear ties (actually, none of the men in my life!), I was inspired to make a card that would actually serve as gift wrap for a tie, which is, of course, the cliche Father's Day gift.
Here's the magazine spread! I'm impressed that the editors actually made a card just like the sample I sent in to show each step.
If you don't have a die cutting machine, the "Dad" letters can be printed in Word then used as a template to cut from colored cardstock. I'd recommend an Exacto knife for cutting out the letters.
Although it's cliche, I'm curious... do any of you have plans to give your dad, spouse or someone a tie for Father's Day? Does this actually happen?

The giveaway winner will be announced Friday night! Since we've already gotten more than 700 comments, I'm going to draw one or two more winners, who will get something fun from my stash.
Thanks so much guys! This has been a super fun week, and I hope you had fun (and didn't get too tired) of entering giveaways.

HaHa, yes, my husband is one of those that gets a tie for Father's Day and Christmas. Wow, congrats on getting your card in the Cricut Magazine.
