Adoption fundraiser, quilty beginnings + some holiday shopping

Jaime at Little Bird Creations is holding an online auction fundraiser for her adoption. If you are interested in donating a handmade item, a gift certificate to your shop, or another item, just e-mail her at Jaime(at)littlebirdcreations(dot)com.

I'll also update you when the auction goes live on her blog, around late June. I'll be donating a handmade gathered clutch and some blog advertising, which you can bid on.

Spent the last hour sewing together panels of my newest quilt, a cathedral windows quilt with solids. Here's a sneak peek.

And I also picked out fabrics for a vintage sheets plus vintage-looking fabrics quilt. I'm going to pair them with a light Kona gray. Was inspired by this.

Hope it was a great Memorial Day weekend! I spent the morning couponing (I'm not die hard about this, and I'm just learning my way around the system. I spent $27 on everything in this photo and saved $94).

I promise this is the last time I will talk about couponing on this blog. I am just a little excited! Linking up to W.i.P. Wednesday.

  2. Oh I seriously hope you'll post about how you saved so much. That rocks. I would be excited too! And I LOVE that inspiration quilt. I have been eyeing those vintage sheet quilts online and would love to make one too. Have you been collecting your sheets for a while? Did you get them at flea markets? Online? your grandmother? :)

Can't wait to see what yours looks like. Thanks for sharing Lindsay!
