I'm sorting my fabrics this evening for the
Bottled Rainbows quilt-along at Stitched in Color. 16 Kona solids (FQs), plus 2.75 yards of a neutral solid, plus coordinating colored scraps equals = my ticker tape quilt in progress.
This is going to be my first larger quilt project in a long time! Linking up to
WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced. Is anyone else out there participating in Bottled Rainbows?
It's beautiful even in piles. I think I may have to try that quilt along, too. Can't wait to see it progress.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love your piles! My scraps have been calling to me lately, too, I'm pretty sure I'm going to join Rachel's quilt-along...but then that would mean I'd have to organize my scraps. Yours look so pretty all stacked up like this :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I am participating too! Though you are steps ahead of me, as I have ordered my fabric and not gotten it yet! Looking forward to working on that project, and like you I haven't made a quilt that big in a long time!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think the bottled rainbows quilt along is going to be fun! Your fabrics are beautiful, what a fun picture!
ReplyDeleteyour scraps look gorgeous! Amazingly I don't have enough scraps to do the rainbow. or so I think. maybe if I organized myself I would. hmm...

ReplyDeleteyep, I'm doing the Bottled Rainbows too, it's so addicting to play with all the scraps and colors! So fun to watch us all sew along!
ReplyDeleteThey look great! I'm participating and can't wait to get started!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I'm not able to participate in the quilt-along but I just know I'm going to be jealous of everyone's beautiful ticker tape quilts! Have fun - you're off to a gorgeous start!
ReplyDeleteYour piles make me want to join in!!!
ReplyDeleteI WISH I were doing that quilt-along! Maybe in a month or two when I have more time. Your scraps look beautiful all sorted out like that!

Mmmmm, what lovely colours! I am just in the midst of making my first ever quilt, but of course I am already planning the next one. I could do with sorting my stash to see if it gives me any ideas. I'll be posting up pictures tomorrow of the quilt so far- a little nerve-wracking!Laura x
