Vintage modern quilts and pre-loved sheets giveaway

The Indy Modern Quilt Guild is getting ready to kick off a new theme of "vintage modern." To wrap my mind around the idea, I put together a Flickr gallery of quilts I admire that I think fit into this category.

Some fabrics are new of course, but with a vintage feel. The mod squares have a retro feel to me, and the fabrics are just right.

I recently discovered the Vintage Sheets blog, which is eye-opening to me. I guess I haven't found the right thrifty stores yet, but I never see vintage sheets like this where I live. Do you?

The Vintage Sheets blog is hosting a giveaway (they have quite a few there, really!) for a membership to the Vintage Sheet of the Month club.  Membership entitles the recipient to four months of happy mail (6 vintage sheet fat quarters per month), for building their stash. Go check it out!

  1. I certainly don't see nice sheets that I would consider buying at the thrift shops around here. Yuck.

Thanks for the tip. I'm heading over to have a look :)
